Account Manager

The Account Manager role creates long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new opportunities. Account Managers answer customer questions, seek to solve their issues, and identify new business opportunities among existing customers. In this role, you will collaborate with operations to improve the entire customer experience. If you have a flair for customer communication and understand customer behavior, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships

  • Negotiate pricing on shipments and maximize profitability

  • Develop new business with existing customers and or identify areas of improvement to meet goals

  • Review accounts month/month performance, identify strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities

  • Work with management to develop and execute an overall game plan for each account.

  • Communicate with operations to ensure load coverage, service, available capacity and margin

Requirements

  • 3PL, Logistics, or Freight Brokerage experience preferred

  • Entrepreneurial Spirit

  • Willing to learn and apply developed skills

  • Great attitude a must

  • Creative Problem Solver

  • Organized and have ability to multi-task in a fast-moving environment

  • Ability to work with different technology systems

  • Excellent communication skills
