Senior Logistics Coordinator

The Senior Logistics Coordinator role is for a skilled tactician that knows the ins and outs of covering freight with carriers. This role relies on one’s ability to know the best carriers to utilize based on the service and cost requirements. The ability to build solid relationships with your carriers so they continue to come back to you to move their trucks will help lead you to success.

Responsibilities

  • Carrier Sales role booking freight and developing carriers

  • Inbound and outbound phone calls to facilitate freight coverage and bookings

  • Develop and own carrier partnerships throughout the US

  • Onboarding new carrier partnerships

  • Manage open shipments and secure capacity for available shipments

  • Manage volumes along with capacity while working with the team on execution

  • Identify recurring shipments to match with dedicated carriers

  • Rate Negotiation and selling company freight to carriers

  • Track and trace progress of each shipment

  • Communicate updates to Sales and Account Management teams

  • Troubleshooting issues with shipments throughout the shipping process

  • Innovate on current processes to maximize efficiency

Requirements

  • 2+ years freight brokerage experience

  • Conversational Spanish speaking ability preferred

  • Willing to learn and apply developed skills

  • Great attitude a must

  • Creative Problem Solver

  • Organized and have ability to multi-task in a fast-moving environment

  • Ability to work with different technology systems

  • Excellent communication skills
